Many of the quality solutions and services we provide come from our Business and Applications Services division (BAS). BAS is basically about applications development and implementation. We provide resources for Fujitsu clients, we develop high quality "bespoke" solutions for customers, we implement other vendor's applications, and we even develop, tailor, and implement our own application products. We use a broad ranges of the latest development technologies, and have teams of Developers, Application Support staff, Business Analysts, Software Testers, and Project Managers. It's big and it's busy .... getting the picture?

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Administrator within our Business and Application Services group. But we're not looking for "just any old Project Administrator". We are looking for someone who will pick up what they are asked to pick up, and look for more. We are looking for someone who can, after getting to know the place, identify process issues and recommend solutions. We are looking for someone who can develop the role into a what will become a critical part of the BAS division in New Zealand.

Based in Wellington, and reporting to the Business Solutions Manager, you will initially provide project support and administration to the BAS Project Managers and assist in the billing process for all BAS services. Over time, we would look to have you take on license management tasks, project co-ordination, and also defect triage (effectively reviewing and understanding software problems customers are experiencing, and identifying the appropriate person or group within BAS to work on them and resolve.)

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Previous experience in Project Administration
  • Previous experience of working in the large, busy environment of what we call enterprise level organisations.
  • Strong financial skills - i.e. previous billing or accounting experience
  • Outstanding communication skills - written and oral.
  • Excellent computer skills - MS Word and MS Excel are essential, and other ERP, billing, project management and/or administration applications experience is important.
  • Initiative, problem solving, organisation, accuracy and the ability to "have fun under pressure" are also very important attribute that we are looking for.
  • The desire to develop your career in the projects and/or applications space (not for the faint-hearted)
